2008 Benfica Training – Medium

The 2007–08 season was a difficult campaign for SL Benfica, filled with managerial turnover and disappointing performances both domestically and in Europe. Starting with high hopes, the club cycled through three managers — Fernando Santos, José Antonio Camacho, and Fernando Chalana — but couldn’t find consistency. Benfica finished 4th in the Primeira Liga, missing out on Champions League qualification, and suffered early exits in both the UEFA Cup and Taça de Portugal. Despite individual talent in the squad, the team struggled to form a cohesive unit and fell far behind rivals FC Porto.
