2014 Brazil Home – Neymar #10 Medium

Tournament Overview

This is the Nike home shirt Brazil wore as hosts of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Brazil went into the tournament carrying the weight of a nation. They topped Group A with seven points after a 3–1 win over Croatia, a 0–0 draw with Mexico and a 4–1 win over Cameroon. The Round of 16 against Chile finished 1–1 after extra time, and Brazil went through 3–2 on penalties. They then beat Colombia 2–1 in the quarter-final.

The semi-final against Germany finished 7–1 to Germany, one of the most talked-about results in World Cup history. Brazil lost the third-place match 0–3 to the Netherlands and finished fourth. It was an emotional campaign, and shirts from it remain among the most sought-after modern Brazil kits.

Player’s Impact – Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior

Neymar wore the No. 10 and carried the hosts through the group stage. He scored twice against Croatia, one of them a penalty, and twice more against Cameroon. That was four goals in three games, and it put him at the top of the scoring charts at that stage. He also scored his penalty in the shootout win over Chile.

His tournament ended against Colombia, when a knee to the back fractured a vertebra. Before the Germany semi-final, the Brazil squad walked out carrying his No. 10 shirt. A Neymar-printed shirt from this campaign is a collectible tied to his first World Cup and to one of the most dramatic moments in Brazil’s history.

This one-of-one authentic original is a Medium in 10/10 condition, with short sleeves and no front sponsor. That is how Nike’s 2014 home shirt was designed.
